Two awesome folks I met in Detroit have sent me articles in the past week about the city I call my home – Columbus, Ohio. This data is most certainly correlated.
The first, sent to me from @RoadBlock, is from the Huffington Post, “Social Media Savvy Cities: The 17 Most ‘Social’ Cities Ranked By NetProspex.” Taking into consideration factors like number of employees with at least one social media profile ad average number of connections per employee across nine social networks–Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, Friendster, Flickr, LiveJournal, hi5 and Flixster, marketing company NetProspex ranked the Cbus in at the #17th socially savvy city in the country. (Oh, and Columbus’ favorite troublemaker Alvin from the270.com, ripped, and then apologized for ripping, the photo HuffPost selected.)
The second, sent by Charlie Curve, is “Official: The Most Sexually Satisfied City In the U.S. Is…” and cites a Men’s Health study claiming that good ol’ Cowtown is the 2nd most sexually satisfied city in the country, based on condom and sex toy sales, birth rates and more.
Therefore, if a = b and b = c, and the square root of b squared minus 4ac equals something I don’t remember how to solve, and Columbus is ranked at the top for sex AND social media, well…
I think I’m onto something.
