One day, Drew Johnson had an epiphany: “Why not travel the United States, volunteering as I go, to promote a lifestyle of service to others and use technology to tell the story?”
And so he set off. For 48 weeks - that’s four weeks shy of an entire YEAR - he will visit each of the 48 contiguous United States. And he’s calling it, appropriately, 48 by 48.
Drew is traveling across each state, volunteering for at least five days or 25 service hours in each one, lending a hand to organizations and individuals of all types, and relying mostly on the hospitality of strangers from social media.
Yesterday, he started his mission of utilizing social media for social good in Arizona. He’s in Phoenix right now. Who knows where he’ll be next. The details of his journey are in your hands.
So how can you help?
Can you provide Drew with a roof over his head? Maybe a meal or two? Car repair or cash? Join the “back pack.”
Do you know of a person or organization who needs Drew’s help? Let him know.
At the very least, follow Drew’s quest on Twitter and Fan his quest on Facebook Now share his story with your network. And think about this…
Who do you know who can help Drew help make a difference?
Oh, and…
