Tiffany Sellers Which internships have been your favorites and why? And what are you doing currently?
Cheryl:
Well, I’ve had 5, so let’s just start at the beginning. First internship was with CD101, which is a fantastic local alternative rock radio station. However, the internship was handing out stickers at bars and freezing cold events outside for hours. Not intellectually stimulating or really fun at all, but I got to meet some cool bands (Silverchair, Paramore, They Might Be Giants) so I can’t complain too much. Didn’t stay there long though, haha. After that I went to OhioHealth, where I got to be a big part of the media relations/communications team for the opening of a new, fantastically designed hospital. After that, I went to Priceline.com, and while I liked the people I worked with and this is still to date the highest paying job I’ve ever had, crunching numbers in excel all day wasn’t my thing. Post-Priceline I did a stint with Box.net, running marketing efforts on my campus, which kinda sucked. And currently, I work at People to My Site, doing things ranging from PR research to website audits to, my favorite, social media marketing. S o there!
Doug Hazelman How can I get home before 10PM tonight? My meeting goes until 4PM and the earlier flight is at 4:15
Cheryl:
I would advise living in a different time zone. Maybe California. I’m asleep by their 10pm.
Dan Rockwell If you could take 3 classes this year, what would you take and why?
Cheryl:
One of which I’m actually taking: Communication, Technology and Culture. Analyzing the effects technology have on society and vice versa. And yeah, I know that’s a lame answer and this is probably supposed to be a theoretical “if you could learn anything” question but that’s my brain’s current spark. Other than that… I’d say Tolerating Douchebags 400 (I’m at an advanced level but there’s still plenty to learn) and I Need Money ASAP 101 (no experience there.)
Bryan Cristina When you get all your fame and fortune, what will you eventually OD on?
Cheryl:
I imagine I’ll start out by getting belligerently drunk and move onto all the smack, crack, coke and blow I can get my grubby little celebrity hands on. But wow. Nice question, Bryan, haha.
Duane 1) Why do people in Ohio act like driving an hour to an event is crazy? 2) Why does Dayton’s Social Media scene suck?
Cheryl:
1) Ohio is the heart of America. i.e. we’re the most selfish jackasses of all. and 2) Who the eff wants to live in Dayton? Move to Columbus, we’re fantastic.
Kelly Gingery Which 2 living celebrities (a male & a female) would u most like to have dinner with & why?
Cheryl:
Male, a given, Barack Obama. Female? Errrr… *blush* J.K Rowling because I want to pick her brain about Harry Potter, haha.
Alexandros Koronakis How many visitors does your blog gets per month?
Cheryl:
Welp, my blog’s relatively new, but here’s the analytics for the past 2.5 months!
November: 876 unique hits, 1,266 total
December: 1,284 unique hits, 1,704 total
January — SO FARRRR!: 650 unique hits, 892 total
Josh Wilson What is the twitter etiquette for say to a female “Damn gurl, you be fiiineeee! Let’s do coffee?”
Cheryl:
I’d try “Hey, your avatar is GORGEOUS! And your bio is SO cool! Haha. You seem awesome.Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me this week?”
Stacy As a teenager, name an adult who had an impact on your life and explain why
Cheryl:
My band/theatre/jazz band/chorus director, slash music theory and study hall teacher, slash employer cause I babysat her kids, Julia Wayne. Julia was an amazingly compassionate person who was always around to listen to me, always around to offer me a couch when I needed out of my house, always willing to “go out” when I needed money so I could watch her kids. She was a true inspiration to dozens of kids every year and inspired everyone who went through the Martins Ferry music program to be better people.
Steven Phillips What podcasts do you listen to?
Cheryl:
Heh… to be honest, I don’t have much free time (in case you guys haven’t noticed from following me on Twitter, I get around, haha) BUT my single, favorite podcast… and I’m SO going to get reemed for this… is MuggleCast… a podcast about Harry Potter. Oh yeah. I’m effing AWESOME.
Cara Keithley Out of all your #fastfriends, who do you most want to introduce to each other?
Cheryl:
Screw other people, I wanted to introduce them to ME! hehe. Honest to God I’ve spent 5 minutes looking at the list of names and I can’t find a pair that stands out as a great fit OR that I know for a fact haven’t met already. If I HAVE to choose, I’d say Ann Marcum and April Hayes, who likely already know eachother, just because they’re both cute, young PR pros. Haha. This question is harrrrrrrd.
David Watts: Vickie’s Secret or Kohls bargains?
Cheryl: First of all, I HATE when people say Vickie’s. It’s a long tale that I think stems back to the Parent Trap. Second, I refuse to spend good money (which I have very little of) on underwear, so all of my drawers are sales.
Mike Dodd Jean Claude Van Damme or Jet Li in a fair fight?
Cheryl:
Jean Claude Van Damme… his splits will be the deciding factor
Uh… LolCheryl technical difficulties today… and I don’t know why… so uh…

Two things:
1) You know that “coke” and “blow” are the same thing, right?
2) Following your tweets, I’d say that you’re ready for graduate study in dealing with douchebags; I suggest DWD 601 for your next course.

I am NOT moving to California! While the weather is great out there, I’ve not heard good things about the people. Besides, no one there plays euchre from what I hear.

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for using my question today….loved your answer!
Once again, an informative and very insightful “Ask Cheryl” post. Just think, this is all just information for your eventual autobiography (or someone elses’ unauthorized expose on YOU!).
Keep up the fun stuff!
