Domain-ified

As you may have noticed, cherylharrison.wordpress.com is no longer my dwelling place on the intertubez. That’s right, after several months of putting it off, I finally caved and bought a domain.

Teh interwebz r a buzz with dis newz

The snazzy design and hosting is all courtesy of Mr. Andy Markle-Desjardins of Desjardins Creative (I’mInLikeWithAndy)

My hundred of thousands of avid readers have just been bombarding me with questions about the new site, so I thought I’d take a minute to answer some frequently asked questions:

Q: Why did you pick beingcheryl.com as your domain?
A: Because some crappy artist owns cherylharrison.com already? But fo rizzle, being Cheryl is a unique experience (that I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever attempt without professional supervision) which provides a very… uh… quirky perspective. And I am happy to share that perspective with you so you don’t have to go through the hassle of actually BEING Cheryl.

Q: Um, why have your posts been so rare in the past?
A: I am extremely busy. But I’ve got at least three posts on deck that will hopefully be published within the next week. Now that I’m actually PAYING for this site, I definitely feel more inclined to use it. So never fear, readers, there will be many a post for you to waste your afternoons reading!

Q: Can I talk to your fantabulous designer about working on projects for me?
A: WHY YES YOU CAN! Email Andy dot Markle at Me dot com (I have faith that you can figure that out) and see what he can do for you ;-)

Q: Did anyone really ask these questions or did you just make them up so you would have something to post?
A: Next question!

Q: Can I subscribe to your blog so I NEVER MISS A MINUTE OF THE EXCITEMENT?!
A: Why yes, you can! In the top right of the site is a heart that says RSS next to it… figure it out from there. ;-)

Fasten your seatbelts, folks: Being Cheryl is a bumpy ride.

What a wry, sly, brilliant and refreshing site! Congratulations and keep up the good work.

This is the cleverest thing I’ve seen in quite a while.
