Social Media Revolution: Video and Statistics

Came across this video today and wanted to share it - I think there’s some fascinating info in here tied together in a pretty impactful way. Not all of these stats are cited (some are) but we’ll give Qualman the benefit of the doubt.

Some of my favorite stats:
- Social media has overtaken porn as the #1 activity on the web
- 1 in 8 couples married in the US last year met via social media
- If Facebook werea country it would be the world’s fourth largest
- 80% of Twitter users is on mobile devices (imagine what that means for bad customer experiences)
- YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine in the world, over 100,000,000 videos
- Wikipedia has over 13 million articles: Studies show Wikipedia is more accurate than Encyclopedia Britannica
- There are over 200,000,000 blogs
- More than 1.5 million pieces of content are shared on Facebook… daily
