Yesterday evening Twitter improved the interface of the pages users see when they click “following” or “followers” on someone’s Twitter profile. From the Twitter blog:
When you click on the Following and Followers links from your Twitter home page, you’ll notice that we’ve upgraded the design of these pages and added features. Instead of a basic list, there are now actions you can perform that provide a better overall experience. For example, you can turn on SMS, unfollow, mention, block, direct message, and more. Tip: You can also view the accounts that someone else is following and follow them yourself.
The old pages provided nothing more than a list of usernames and avatars and a follow/unfollow option. The new pages include the following information and functionality:
- Username/Avatar
- Real name
- Location
- Most recent Tweet
- Mention @username
- Direct message
- Unfollow/follow
- Block
You can also click “list” at the top instead of the expanded view to just see usernames and avatars and still have the added functionality of mention, DM, follow/unfollow and block.
What do you think of the changes? Useful or unnecessary? Do you actually look at the follower/following pages for your profile or other users’ profiles?

This is more useful than the way it used to be. I like being able to see location and bio. I actually might check through from time to time now.

Much faster way to “clean” out your followers…thanks, but no thanks for the free hair plugs!

It looks to me like you?ve just got a CSS problem, not a javascript problem. Adding:.textwidget{background: #FFFFFF;}to your stylesheet should give you the white background, but if you want it to look exactly like the other widgets, (with rouned corners and same fonts) you?ll need to make sure the textwidget class has the same css as sidebar ul.If you need a better explanation or just want me to fix it for you fill free to email me.
