Holy crap. I’ve barely been awake for an hour and I’ve already received a bajillion birthday wishes online.

I am thankful.

Not because you shot me a “happy birthday!” because Facebook told you to, or because you saw me Tweet at my mother thanking her for pushing me out of her… ladyparts.

Nah. But thanks for that, too.

I am thankful that some of you have put up with me for 22 years. And that the rest of you have at least put up with me on this blog, and social media, for the past two and a half years.

That’s no small feat. Through my ups and downs, and roughly 4,642 job changes, and some major personal events (holy crap my wedding is in 6 months) and lots of craft beer… and maybe a few next-day regretted Tweets as a result of lots of craft beer. You’ve been here.

Supporting me. Mentoring me. Connecting me. Promoting me. TALKING to me.

I don’t know what I’d do without you.

So yeah, it’s my birthday, and that’s lovely, because I’m glad to exist and all – but mostly, I want to take today to say… thank you, whoever YOU may be, for being a part of my 22 years of living.

Now let’s drink beer!
