Bio

Cheryl Harrison is a writer, marketer, event organizer, and avid supporter of the Columbus community.

Cheryl runs the Beers and Board Games Club, which has been hosting open gaming events since 2013 and has raised over $175,000 for local non-profits, and is the co-founder of the Columbus Ale Trail, a passport program that has incentivized folks to patronize local craft breweries since 2015.

Cheryl previously spent over a decade running social media community management agency speechbubble as well as renowned local booze news blog Drink Up Columbus for which she was voted one of the top three bloggers in Columbus for eight consecutive years by the readers of (614) Magazine.

Cheryl currently serves on the board for Wild Goose Creative and is an active volunteer with the Ohio Women’s Alliance and Columbus Food Rescue. She previously served on committees for the Gay Softball World Series and the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, among other organizations.

She holds a B.A. in Public Relations with minors in Political Science and Journalism from Capital University, where she was granted the Distinguished Senior Leader award upon graduation in 2009 and later the Distinguished Young Alumnus award in 2018. She lives in Clintonville with her husband Scott and their rescue pittie Reese.
